The UK is moving towards using more renewable energy to have clean electricity by 2035. In 2022, 40% of the UK's electricity already came from renewable sources. The government aims to be a leader in clean wind power, which will create jobs and lower carbon emissions. £160 million is allocated to improve ports and infrastructure for more offshore wind power. These actions show the UK's dedication to a cleaner environment and growing the clean energy industry.
