WiRE New Brunswick, WiN, WiE Networking Event

On the 19th of September, a remarkable gathering took place under the auspices of the WiRE New Brunswick Chapter. This event, which was co-hosted with Women in Nuclear (WiN) Canada and Women in Energy (WiE), was a resounding success, held in the beautiful city of Saint John. The occasion brought together over 50 women from various facets of the energy sector, providing a platform for connection and mutual growth.

The event was graced by the presence of our esteemed guest speakers, Amanda Rivers and Laurie Fraser. They shared insights about WiN Canada and their innovative program, EmPOWERed Women: Taking the Stage. Their speeches were not only informative but also inspiring, shedding light on the importance of women’s empowerment in the energy sector.

One of the highlights of the event was when the crowd was invited to “stand up” and hold a power pose. This technique, often used to boost feelings of confidence, underscored the significance of body language in personal and professional settings. It offered a glimpse into one of the key takeaways from the EmPOWERed Women: Taking the Stage program.

The networking event served as a testament to WiRE’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment within the energy sector. It provided an opportunity for women to connect, learn, and inspire each other. The success of this event is a reflection of our collective efforts towards promoting diversity and inclusion.

In conclusion, this networking event was more than just a gathering; it was a celebration of unity, empowerment, and progress. As we reflect on this day, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who joined us and contributed to making this event a success. We look forward to hosting more such events in the future and continuing our mission to advance women’s roles within the energy sector.
