Italy

Italy is making strides towards a sustainable future, shifting its energy mix towards more natural gas and renewables. The country aims to increase renewables to 55% of power generation by 2030, reach a solar capacity of 52 GW, and eliminate coal by 2025. Italy’s National Resilience and Recovery Plan has allocated €59 billion to incentivize renewables between 2021–2026. These efforts demonstrate Italy’s commitment to environmental sustainability, economic growth, and innovation in the clean energy sector.
