WiRE Informational Interview Program 2016
Following on the great success of the Speed Mentoring event at APPrO in November, WiRE’s Academic Subcommittee is excited to announce the launch of another mentoring opportunity beginning this February!
The Informational Interview Program will give women students and emerging professionals (recent grads, newcomers to the industry) interested in a career in renewable energy the chance to connect with accomplished women in the field. The program is very simple. Participating students/emerging professionals are matched with professionals based on fields of interest. Conversations are to take place at least once, for a minimum of 20-30 minutes, and may be held in-person or over the phone. Further meetings may be arranged at the discretion of each pairing. Please see below for more details about how to participate.
Like all WiRE activities, the overarching aim of the program is to build and nurture an expansive professional network that enhances dialogue, mentorship and, ultimately, women’s contributions to the renewable sector. It provides a unique opportunity for professionals to share valuable advice and insights on their respective areas of expertise and for students/emerging professionals to ask questions, seek advice, and acquire meaningful information to further their careers.
PLEASE NOTE: The application period for the Informational Interview program is currently closed. Please check back regularly for upcoming applications.
