On the 8th of Dec. 2023, WiRE – UAE Chapter leaders including Dr. Rahaf Ajaj and Dr. Suzan Shahin, successfully co-organized and moderated an amazing joint workshop at COP28 titled "Gap Analysis on Climate Change Research in the UAE", orchestrated by the UAE Climate Change Research Network (CCRN) of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment – Abu Dhabi. The workshop was conducted in the UAE Pavilion - Blue Zone. 

Dr. Rahaf Ajaj and Dr. Suzan Shahin joined by the fellow speakers on stage.

The workshop gathered a diverse cohort of experts in the field of climate change, each offering invaluable insights and contributions. The participants engaged in a comprehensive exploration, systematically identifying key gaps, challenges, and opportunities within the current framework of climate change research.
